The Pastviny dam is located in the village of the same name, Pastviny, in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains, about 7 km east of Žamberk. It is powered by the river Divoká Orlice. The dam was built between 1933 and 1938. In the flooded area, 74 homes (residential houses, shops, schools, etc.) had to be demolished. The water surface is crossed by a two-arched reinforced concrete viaduct, on which there is the road II / 312 connecting Žamberk and Králíky. The 7 km long lake on Divoká Orlice has been serving for the electricity production and recreation since the 1930s.
There is a rental of boats, surfboards and mountain bikes at campsites. If you are bored with bathing or fishing, you can borrow mountain scooters in the village of the same name. In Pastviny there are Vejvoda linden trees, their age is estimated at 700-800 years.
